Rangers Institute of Special Education (RISE) was established as a welfare project for the rehabilitation of special children in 2000. This institute is functioning under the Patronage of Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) and all the affairs are being managed on humanitarian grounds being a noble cause. RISE is a state-of-the-art welfare project, providing education / training to all categories of special children according to their needs & requirements through a well-qualified and trained staff which makes it a unique institution. RISE is a day scholar institute and its purpose-built campus is located in LDA Tajpura Scheme, Lahore. Special children of all categories are accommodated free of cost irrespective of the area and the family background.

ADMISSION POLICY
Admissions are offered / made to all special children (male/female) of varying grades vis-à-vis disabilities, starting from play group to grade eight, subject to the availability of seats as per the following procedure:-
* Functioning as a Day Scholar institute.
* Categories of Students
– Hearing Impaired (HIC).
– Visually Impaired (VIC).
– Intellectual Disability (ID).
AIM AND OBJECTIVES
* Identification of special children and the assessment of their disabilities.
* Treatment, education and training of special children.
* Awareness campaign regarding prevention, diagnosis, treatment & advocating human and civil rights.
* Training the parents and attendants to serve and look after the disabled children.
